A Reflection On the Year…

I met a lot of interesting people this year. Some of them were downright life-changing. What makes one life challenging while another person just slips through your fingers and doesn't make much of an impression? It has everything to do with the quality of the seeds they are planting as they move through life. We all go through life planting seeds every single day. By the way we treat others we make it clear what we are planting. Jesus made it clear that not all seeds are as effective as the next. Some seeds fall on the ground and come up with weeds. Other seeds are stunted because they fall on shallow ground. Only a fraction of the seeds we connect with actually bear fruit. But the seeds that bear fruit are so incredibly fruitful they make the process of seed planting well worthwhile in every case.

The people who make the biggest difference in our lives are the ones who are experts at planting high quality seeds. These are the ones who move through our lives and plant fantastically fruitful things. As they pass through our lives they toss out a few seeds here and there and help us to get a vision for fruitfulness. They pass through and they give us a big picture of what life can be like when we are walking in synchronicity with God's Spirit.
